Vijayawada, May 18 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will disburse Rs 262 crore to over 1.60 lakh fishermen on Tuesday in Kavali.
The government of Andhra Pradesh is set to deposit financial assistance totaling Rs 262 crore directly into the bank accounts of 1,30,796 fishermen across the State.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will release these funds during a programme to be held in Thummalapenta village, Kavali Mandal, in the Nellore district. Every year, from April 15 to June 14-a period spanning 61 days-a fishing ban is enforced in the sea to coincide with the fish breeding season.
