Srikakulam, May 17 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has launched the "Operation Clean Sweep," a month-long statewide sanitation drive involving officials, public representatives and citizens at Tamrapalli village in Narasannapeta constituency of Srikakulam district.

Addressing a public meeting on the occasion on Saturday, the Chief Minister said the government had launched the Swachh Andhra initiative with the goal of building a cleaner and healthier Andhra Pradesh. "As part of the programme, the government has intensified road-cleaning drives in both urban and rural areas through the 'Swachha Patham' initiative," he observed.
