Visakhapatnam, June 23 -- Two workers were charred to death after a major fire broke out at Dakshin Energy, a plastic pyrolysis oil manufacturing unit, in Parawada Pharma City of Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli district early on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Vepada Venkatesh and Trinath, both aged below 27 years and residents of Atchutapuram.

According to preliminary reports, the blaze was triggered by an explosion in a tank used for recycling plastic waste into oil at the company's facility located in JNBC Industrial Park near Pharma City. The fire spread rapidly through the plant, trapping workers inside.
