Anakapalli, Sept. 6 -- Two under-trial prisoners escaped from the sub-jail after hitting the jail warder on the head with a hammer in Chodavaram of this district in Andhra Pradesh today.
Police said jail officials brought two prisoners - Bezawada Ramu and Nakka Ravi Kumar, from the cell used to cook food for prisoners.
Hoever. Bezawada Ramu attacked jail warder ,. He collapsed in a pool of blood.
Then Ramu snatched the keys from the injured jail warder, opened the main gate and fled. Another prisoner, Nakka Ravi Kumar also escaped, taking the incident as an advantage.
