Tirupati, Feb. 6 -- The Additional District Court Judge on Friday sentenced two red sander smugglers to five years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 6 lakh on them.

The Task Force police in a statement here on Friday said that the case relates to illegal transportation of red sanders from the Seshachalam Reserve Forest in Andhra Pradesh. As part of intensified efforts to prevent red sanders smuggling, the Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) is implementing stringent measures.
