Tirupati, April 17 -- : In a relief to NRI MBBS students, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to limit tuition fee collection to 4½ years instead of five years for students studying at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) - Sri Padmavathi Women's Medical College, Tirupati.
The decision applies to the 2020-21 MBBS batch and will also be extended to future batches, according to an official release issued on Friday.
The move follows a representation by NRI MBBS students of the 2020-21 batch and their parents, who met TTD Executive Officer M Ravichandra and urged that fees be aligned with the actual course duration of 4½ years.
