Rajahmundry, Feb. 6 -- Forest officials on Friday successfully captured the tiger that had strayed into the human habitation in the Kothacheruvu area.
District Forest officer B Prabhakar Rao told the media that they successfully tranquilized the tiger, after tracing it using drone cameras.
Later the tiger was put in a cage and was shifted to a safer place. After conducting required medical tests, the tiger would be released into the forest on Saturday, he said. "Had the special team from Pune not come here, it would have been very difficult for us to capture the tiger," he added.
