Vijayawada, June 5 -- The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a Telugu Virtual Academy, modelled on Tamil Nadu's online Tamil teaching programme that reaches 45 countries, has been prepared and will be submitted to Education Minister Nara Lokesh, Telugu and Sanskrit Academy Chairman R D Wilson said on Friday.
Speaking at a press meet here, Wilson outlined plans to introduce Telugu to migrant labourers in other States and to Telugu communities settled abroad. He said the project's first phase requires a minimum allocation of Rs 100 crore to ensure successful implementation.
