Vijayawada, Sept. 29 -- Vijayawada Division of South Coast Railway observed the nationwide 'Swachhata Hi Sewa' campaign on September 28 and 29 with a focus on the theme "Swachhata Se Samriddhi".
Railway staff across stations, railway colonies and workshops participated in activities centred on waste management, recycling, reuse of scrap material and environmental awareness.
As part of the campaign, the Division undertook initiatives under "Kabaad Se Jugaad" and "Kabaad Se Kala", promoting the reuse of railway scrap material. Old signalling equipment, coach components and other metal scrap were creatively converted into useful articles and display installations.
