Vijayawada, Jan. 20 -- The State-owned transport corporation, APSRTC, has earned a whopping Rs 27.68 crore income on a single day on January 19, handling Sankranthi and Pongal holiday rush, setting a new record in revenue in a single day.
APSRTC Vice president and Managing Director CH Dwarama Tirumala Rao here on Tuesday said that on January 19, the APSRTC created a history by transporting over 50.6 lakh passengers and earning over Rs 27.68 crore.
For the first time, the APSRTC had transported such a large number of people and earned over Rs 27.68 crore in one day.
