Visakhapatnam, Aug. 2 -- Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), on Sunday cautioned the public, builders, contractors and dealers against the sale of counterfeit and sub-standard TMT rebars being marketed under the name of its flagship brand, Vizag TMT.
In a statement, the steelmaker said it had come to its notice that some unscrupulous elements were selling duplicate and inferior-quality TMT rebars using deceptive branding and falsely claiming them to be genuine Vizag TMT products.
RINL warned that such counterfeit products do not conform to Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications and could pose serious risks to the safety, strength and durability of residential, commercial ...
