Vijayawada, Oct. 30 -- Works to restore power supply in the cyclone Arnab affected villages are being carried out on war footing in Konaseema and East Godavari districts with additional staff brought in from West Bengal and Jharkhand to fast track the restoration.
Official sources here on Friday said that more than 2,000 personnel are engaged in power restoration works across the Konaseema district which bore the brunt of the cyclone.
According to information provided by officials, out of the 5,404 villages under the APEPDCL jurisdiction that experienced power outages, supply has been restored in 4,881 villages. Of the 552 affected substations, 513 have been restored, while work is ongoing at the remaining 39 substations.
