Vijayawada, March 9 -- : In the wake of the recent death of a large number of chickens in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Director of Animal Husbandry, Dr. T. Damodar Naidu, has asked poultry farmers to follow appropriate bio-security standards and take precautions.
In a statement here on Monday, he said poultry farmers in Andhra Pradesh, especially those in border districts, should strictly follow bio-security measures and take precautionary measures.
He directed Animal Husbandry officers and staff in the border districts to keep a special vigil on chicken farms in their jurisdiction and to tighten monitoring of the transport of chickens and poultry products. Farmers in the border districts have been asked to regularly...
