Anantapur, March 27 -- The police fired on a notorious criminal, who had brutally murdered his seven-year-old brother-in-law, at K Uppalapadu village of Yadiki mandal of the district on Friday.
Inspector Rama Subbaiah told the media that the police fired on the legs of notorious criminal Narvesh when he tried to escape from police custody in the wee hours on Friday. He was shifted to hospital.
The Inspector said that Narvesh married Lalitha, a year ago. However, Naresh became addicted to vices and became a habitual drinker and started harassing his wife Lalitha for more dowry. The parents of Lalitha refused to give him money and he grew a grudge against them.
