Kadapa, Oct. 11 -- The Kadapa district police invoked Preventive Detention (Act) against a notorious red sander smuggler Iragamreddy Naga Dastagiri Reddy. Circle Inspector C Shankar Reddy said that Dastagiri Reddy is a resident of Proddatur.
He was involved in more than hundred criminal cases in the district. Since 2014, over 128 criminal cases have been registered against him in Kadapa district, out of which over 90 cases were pertaining to red sander smuggling. He was also involved in 38 burglary cases.
The police previously invoked the PD Act thrice against him but he was freed on bail and later resumed red sander smuggling. The accused Dastagiri Reddy had maintained links with several notorious red sander smugglers in Karnataka, Tamil...
