AP: Officials told to take steps for uninterrupted power supply in cyclone-hit areas

Vijayawada, Oct. 25 -- The Electricity officials have been directed to be prepared to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the cycle-hit areas.

APCPDCL Chairman and Managing Director P Pullareddy gave this direction in a review meeting held with the Superintending Engineers of all districts under the corporation to assess preparedness and ensure the safety and reliability of the power supply system in view of possibility of strong winds and heavy rainfall due to a low-pressure area over the east-central and southeastern Bay of Bengal,During the meeting, the CMD directed the officials and staff to remain alert and take all necessary precautionary measures in anticipation of the cyclone.
