Vijayawada, Oct. 19 -- The notification has been issued to conduct Zilla and Mandal Parishad elections on November 3 in 28 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The counting of votes is scheduled on November 5.
State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha told the media here on Monday that elections would be conducted to 659 Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) and 9,829 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs).
Punetha said that over 35,000 polling stations would be set up to conduct ZP and MP elections of which 9,966 were identified as sensitive, and 9,186 hypersensitive, while 16,181 polling stations were identified as problematic.
