Rajamahendravaram, April 24 -- YSRCP MLC Ananta Babu was arrested on Friday for allegedly threatening the witnesses in a 2022 murder case.
A case was registered against the MLC on April 20 in Sarpavaram police station that he was threatening and luring witnesses with money. When the police went to his house on Tuesday, they were told that he was out of station.
The police later filed a petition in the court seeking cancellation of his bail.
The MLC and his wife Lakshmi Durga, who was also allegedly involved in the case, attended the court on Friday. As soon as the legislator came out of the court, the police detained him.
