Vijayawada, Sept. 8 -- The Jal Jeevan Mission- Amarajeevi Jaladharalu drinking water project works are in progress in the combined Chittoor district to provide drinking water to over 25 lakh people living in 18 mandals and 3,163 habitations.

The Jal Jeevan Mission water project is being executed at a cost of Rs 2,370 crore which includes intekwell, water purification centres and balancing reservoir. The works are being carried out expeditiously and the 130 kilometers long pipeline construction has been completed.

At a review meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan instructed the officials concerned to expedite the drinking water project works.
