Vijayawada, May 29 -- Heavy rain, accompanied by gales, wreaked havoc in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh killing three persons, including a home guard. Heavy rain and gales occurred last night in Krishna, Guntur, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru and Prakasam, Kadapa districts.
Two persons were killed when a Palmyra tree uprooted and fell on a two-wheeler killing Garikapati Manohar (33) and Chuturu Shivarama Krishna (27) at Kummaripalem village of Koduru mandal in Krishna district. Shivarama Krishna was working in Mumbai and came to the village a few days ago.
