Visakhapatnam, April 24 -- In a tragic incident, Head Constable L Simhachalam Naidu of the Prohibition and Excise Station, Seethammadhara, lost his life in a road accident in the early hours of Friday.
The mishap occurred on the Tatichetlapalem-Kapparada highway road near NAD Junction when his motorcycle was hit from behind by another bike carrying two youths.
Naidu, who had just completed his official duty, was shifted in an unconscious state to King George Hospital by ambulance. Despite efforts by doctors, he succumbed to his injuries. The two youths involved in the accident were seriously injured.
