Visakhapatnam, Oct. 15 -- The nomination process for the second general elections to the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) will begin on Friday, with candidates allowed to file their nomination papers from October 16 to 18, District Collector and District Election Officer M. Abhisikth Kishore said on Thursday.
In a press release, the Collector said nominations would be received between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on all three days. Scrutiny of nomination papers would be held on October 19, while candidates could withdraw their nominations until 3 p.m. on October 21.
Polling is scheduled to be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 28, and counting of votes will begin at 8 a.m. on October 30, he said.
