Visakhapatnam, June 18 -- The police destroyed a big stock of ganja, seized in various cases, at a coastal waste management plant at Parawada pharma city, near here, on Thursday.

The police seized 20,876 KGs of ganja in 490 cases, worth over Rs 20 crore and 23.68 KGs of hash oil.

The seized ganja and hash oil were destroyed by burning them in a scientific way at the Ramky Waste Management plant at Paravada, in the presence of Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and Visakhapatnam range IGP Gopinath Jatti.

IGP Gopinath Jatti told the media that the anti narcotics unit has achieved the 'Zero Cultivation' target through constant drone surveillance.
