Vijayawada, Sept. 16 -- An escalator is being installed in a temple for the first time in Andhra Pradesh, with the Talupulamma Lova temple in Tuni town in Kakinada district getting the facility, an official said today.

Temple Executive Officer Penmatsa Viswanath Raju said renovation works of the temple were taken up at a cost of Rs 17 crore.

As part of the renovation and modernisation works of the temple, an escalator is being set up in the temple at a cost of Rs 4 crore, the temple EO stated.
