Kakinada, July 18 -- District collector Shan Mohan has asked the officials to conduct mock drills regularly on safety standards in all the hazardous industries.
Addressing the district disaster mitigation committee meeting here on Friday he said, along with mock drills, awareness should be created among people residing nearer the industries.
The Collector further said that several accidents took place in industries in Hyderabad and also in other places, taking a heavy toll of lives.` Keeping in view those accidents, it was essential to conduct mock drills in the industries on industrial safety.
In Kakinada district, fifteen hazardous industries were identified.
