Vijayawada, Aug. 28 -- The Andhra Pradesh Government will construct buildings for 4,472 Village Health Clinics (VHCs) across the State at a cost of Rs 1,129 crore.

Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav held a review meeting with the officials concerned in the secretariat at Amaravati near here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Government approved construction of buildings for 4,472 VHCs Clinics by spending Rs 1,129 crore.

"At present 10,032 Village Health Clinics in 26 districts are providing medical services to the people. Out of the 10,032 VHCs, 1,086 are Ayushman clinics which are housed in the government buildings and the rest of the VHCs are housed in private buildings," the Minister asserted.
