Kadapa, April 10 -- In a gruesome incident, a boy brutally murdered a minor girl for rejecting his marriage proposal at Khajipet in Kadapa district on Friday.
Police said that the accused Avula Venkatesh (19) had been stalking the victim Keerthana (17) for the last one year. Keerthana was studying Intermediate at a private institution and the accused was doing graduation.
When Keerthana was alone in her house this evening, the accused went into her house and picked up an argument around marriage. When she rejected his proposal, the accused allegedly slit her throat with a knife and fled the scene. She died while being taken to the RIMS hospital.
