Vijayawada, June 24 -- Circle Inspector SSVV Nagaraju, who was found by the Special Investigation Team to have been involved in the custodial death of a youth G Sai Krishna, was remanded to 14 days judicial custody by a court on Wednesday.
The SIT was appointed recently on the directions of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu following the demand by the opposition YSRCP for a CBI probe after the mother of the deceased youth filed a habeas corpus petition suspecting foul play and seekimg his production in court. She had also met the Chief Minister seeking his intervention to trace the whereabouts of her son.
