Anakapalli, Sept. 3 -- The police seized 600 KGs of ganja valued at over Rs.3 crores from a van at Sampathipuram village, near here, on Thursday and arrested three peddlers. Three others managed to escape.
Anakapalli district Superintendent of police Tuhin Sinha told the media here that on a tip off, a police team led by Circle Inspectors Prem Kumar and Ashok Kumar conducted checking of vehicles at Sampathipuram junction. They stopped a van moving in a suspicious manner and on checking, found the large consignment of ganja. The police seized the van, ganja and a car which was being used as a pilot vehicle.
