Amalapuram, May 7 -- As many as 39 people fell ill with diarrhea after having food at a marriage function at Rammohanraopet village of Kotthapet mandala of Konaseema district on Thursday and were admitted to various hospitals.
According to official sources, about 200 people attended the marriage of Giddi Santha Rao's daughter at the village. After having food at the marriage function, many people suffered from vomiting and loose motions and 39 of them were admitted to various hospitals.
After providing primary treatment in the PHC at Vanapalli, some of them were shifted to Area hospital in Kothapet. The pregnant women and children were admitted to a private hospital for better treatment.
