Anakapalli, June 19 -- More than 35 passengers, travelling on a private travel bus, had a miraculous escape as the bus caught fire and was completely gutted in Regupalem village of Yelamanchili mandal in Anakapalli district in the wee hours on Friday.
Police said that the Tulsi Travels bus was going to Chennai from Bhubaneswar. The driver of the bus noticed flares in the engine, and he stopped the bus. He alerted the passengers who got off the bus immediately. The flames engulfed the bus; within minutes the bus was completely destroyed. A short circuit was suspected to be the reason for the fire accident.
