Shillong, Oct. 24 -- The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Meghalaya Police on Friday arrested two inter-state drug traffickers, including a woman, and seized 54.13 grams of heroin worth about Rs. 50 lakh from them.
The accused have been identified as Suma (42) and Sultan Mahammad Mazumder (35), residents of Assam's Silchar, police said.
Acting on specific input about suspected drug peddlers who are travelling from Silchar to Shillong with heroin, sleuths of the ANTF conducted a checking of vehicles at the Sohryngkham area under East Khasi Hills district on Friday morning.
