Nagpur, March 26 -- The death toll in the explosives factory blast in Maharashtra's Nagpur district climbed to 26 as a woman died on Thursday.

The number of fatalities in the explosion on March 1 at the SBL company in Raulgaon in Katol taluka, continues to rise.

Usha Balaji Revatkar (43) had sustained severe burns and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Despite efforts by doctors, she succumbed on Thursday morning at 9:35 am, officials said.

Several workers, mostly women, were killed on the spot, while many others were seriously injured.

Following the incident, the injured were admitted to various hospitals, where some of them continue to battle for their lives.
