New Delhi, June 16 -- : Cool breeze and scattered showers across Delhi on Tuesday morning brought much-needed relief from the heat, with temperatures dipping sharply across the city. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain and thunderstorms were reported in most parts of Delhi during the past 24 hours, accompanied by strong southwesterly winds.
Najafgarh recorded the highest rainfall during the period, receiving 24 mm between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on Tuesday, placing it in the "moderate" rainfall category. Other areas recorded lighter showers, with Palam receiving 9 mm of rain, while Safdarjung and Ayanagar recorded 2.8 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively.
