Nagpur, Nov. 20 -- In a significant political development, Salil Deshmukh, son of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, on Thursday resigned from the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction), citing health reasons.
The move is being seen as a setback for party chief Sharad Pawar, given Salil Deshmukh's long association and influence within the party's Nagpur and Vidarbha units.
