Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- Chandigarh's Angad Cheema stayed on course for his fifth DP World PGTI title after carding a seven-under 65 in the third round of the Rs 1 crore Telangana Open 2026 at Vooty Golf County, Vikarabad on Thursday.

Cheema, who began the round with a two-shot lead after his career-best 11-under 61 on Wednesday, moved to 20-under 196 after rounds of 70, 61 and 65. Delhi's Rashid Khan also shot 65 to remain second at 18-under 198.

Cheema's round featured eight birdies, an eagle and three bogeys, with the eagle coming on the par-five 16th after he hit his second shot with a six-iron to within five feet. Rashid kept up the pressure with eight birdies and a bogey.
