Vijayawada, March 5 -- Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Development Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu has outlined ambitious plans to revamp the Godavari delta irrigation system, assuring farmers of flood prevention and water supply to every acre.

Making a statement in the Assembly at Amaravati on Thursday, Ramanaidu said that 10.13 lakh acres are currently under cultivation in the combined East and West Godavari districts, 4.83 lakh acres in the eastern and central delta, and 5.29 lakh in the western delta.
