Vijayawada, May 30 -- The Chandrababu Naidu-headed Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday released Rs 2,728.67 crore to disburse social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa pension scheme for June, covering 62,34,445 beneficiaries across the state.
Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Rural Poverty Eradication, and Welfare of Migrant Andhra Relations Kondapalli Srinivas said in a statement that 5,606 new spouse pensions (wife/husband) were approved, and the government has separately disbursed Rs 2.24 crore for these beneficiaries. "All funds will be transferred directly to beneficiaries starting Monday morning, June 1," the Minister made it clear.
