New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- Veteran Kannada actor Anant Nag has been chosen for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2024 in recognition of his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema and enduring legacy in Kannada cinema.
The announcement by the Government on Wednesday marks a major national recognition for one of Kannada cinema's most celebrated actors, whose cinematic journey has spanned several decades and inspired generations.
The award was announced on the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee.
Anant Nag will be presented the honour at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony at Kevadia in Gujarat on September 22.
