On two other occasions, my involvement was with war strategy and preparations. Contrary to what some naive souls assume about the drama and excitement of war, war is the ugliest and most repulsive of human activities.
Living in the US and watching its current war, I have scant doubt that it is one of the worst planned and initiated wars of recent times. The American people will play a heavy price for it. Thousands of others, in many countries, will sadly not be exempt.
