Chandigarh, June 3 -- Amritsar Police have dismantled an alleged interstate drug and arms trafficking network with the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of 2.225 kilograms of heroin, six sophisticated pistols and 12 live cartridges, officials said on Wednesday.

The operation, carried out by the Amritsar Police Commissionerate, is being viewed as a significant breakthrough in Punjab's ongoing campaign against narcotics trafficking and illegal weapons smuggling.
