Agartala, Oct. 28 -- Amra Bangali, a regional political party in Tripura, fighting for the rights of non-tribal communities, have submitted a seven-point charter of demand to the state government, expressing deep concerns about the worsening law and order situation and urging immediate action to protect the Bengali community.
The delegation pointed out recent incidents involving targeted attacks, intimidation and social discrimination against Bengalis, asserting that these issues have fostered a climate of fear and insecurity throughout the state.
"The need to ensure the safety, property, and rights of the residents has become critical," said Gouranga Rudra Pal, the State President of Amra Bangali.
