Imphal, May 22 -- The All Manipur Muslim Organisations' Co-Ordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) has strongly condemned the alleged harassment and humiliation of a Manipuri Muslim woman, Samsad Begum Choudhury, while she was travelling by train from Silchar to Dimapur.
AMMOCOC President SM Jalal today said that a viral video of the incident has triggered a widespread outrage and raised serious concerns about the safety and dignity of women and minorities in public spaces.
According to the committee, Choudhury was subjected to physical and verbal abuse by a group of individuals near the Pachgram area, causing severe mental trauma and public humiliation.
