Kolkata, July 5 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Kolkata on Monday to participate in the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the West Bengal government planning a series of programmes to mark the occasion.
Sources said he will also meet senior BJP leaders during his brief visit to the city, and could discuss some political matters. The highlight of Shah's visit will be the laying of the foundation stone for a 125-foot statue of Mookerjee at Eco Park.
