Kolkata, July 19 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting with senior officers of the West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police and central paramilitary forces on Sunday during his three-day visit to the state where he issued a series of directives aimed at strengthening law and order, border security and anti-infiltration measures.
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari attended the nearly 90-minute meeting, where Shah reviewed the state's law and order situation, including incidents of political and communal violence, and assessed security arrangements in Maoist and Naxal-affected regions.
