Jagdalpur/Hyderabad, May 18 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday felicitated senior Telangana Police officers for their contribution towards curbing Left-Wing Extremism and making Telangana a Naxal-free state.
The felicitation programme was held in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, where officers involved in anti-Maoist operations across insurgency-affected regions were honoured for their service.
Among those felicitated were Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C V Anand, State Security Advisor B Shivadhar Reddy, DGP Operations (OCTOPUS & Greyhounds) Dr Anil Kumar and Malkajgiri Police Commissioner Sumati, along with the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) team led by her.
