Jammu, Oct. 20 -- Dussehra symbolising the triumph of good over evil, was celebrated on Tuesday with religious fervour in parts of Jammu city.
Dussehra was celebrated at around ten locations with the main function at Parade Ground.
Colourful 'jhankies' were taken out in the areas where the festival was celebrated following which the effigies of Ravana and his two brothers Meghnatha and Kumbhkarna were lit to flames.
Large number of people participated in the celebrations amidst bursting of crackers and chanted 'Jai Shree Ram' when the effigies were burnt.
Huge LED screens were also installed at some locations for the public to have a glimpse of the celebrations as gathering was not allowed to move closer to the effigies as preventive me...
