Srinagar, May 14 -- Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said the Government of India should prioritise dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir to address their issues and hardships, amid calls by RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale and former Army Chief Manoj Naravane for engagement with Pakistan.

Bukhari said that while New Delhi may or may not hold talks with the neighbouring country, meaningful engagement with the people of Jammu and Kashmir was essential for lasting peace and resolution of public grievances.
