Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- Facing mounting criticism from opposition parties over errors detected in government school textbooks, the Odisha Government on Wednesday announced a high-level inquiry into the lapses, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directing immediate corrective measures and strict action against those responsible.
Taking serious note of the controversy, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan and ordered the constitution of a three-member committee headed by the Development Commissioner to investigate the textbook blunders and fix accountability.
