Srinagar, Sept. 6 -- Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti today demanded an FIR against the Waqf Board who installed a stone plaque bearing the national emblem at Srinagar's revered Hazratbal shrine, calling it an act of "blasphemy". The famed Hazratbal shrine is in the centre of a political storm after a group of devotees yesterday vandalised engraving of a national emblem on the inauguration plaque inside the shrine. The Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board and BJP leader Darakshan Andrabi termed the incident as "a terrorist attack", and urged the police to book those involved.
